On these pages you can find out about how regeneration is affecting each area of North Solihull.
Here is the best place to keep up to date on everything that's going on, what plans we've made and how local people can help shape the plans for the future.
How are you affected by regeneration?

The areas explained
For the regeneration project to be a success it is important to involve local people in the planning process, and at every stage, wherever possible, so they can shape the future of their own neighbourhood.
Detailed plans, however, cannot all be done at once, so there are three main areas – the South, Central and North - each covering roughly one third of North Solihull (Chelmsley Wood, Smith's Wood and Kingshurst & Fordbridge).
Plans will be developed by area (called Area Strategies), with individual neighbourhood plans developed afterwards. Each area has a number of local neighbourhoods within it.
The 3 Areas and individual Neighbourhoods are:
South Area
- West Chelmsley Road
- Alcott Hall
- Alcott Wood
- Chapelhouse
- North Fordbridge
- Craig Croft
- Yorkminster Drive
Central Area
- Cooks Lane
- Bacons End
North Area
- Kingshurst & Babb's Mill
- North Arran Way
- Woodlands
- Lanchester Way

Employment
Supporting businesses, which will provide more jobs for the area, and improving the local trading environment is one of the most important aspects of the Regenerating North Solihull project. Have a look through these pages to find out more.
Green Space
In North Solihull there are a lot of play areas and open spaces and we know they are really important to local communities. Our promise is to keep improving open spaces and children's play areas for the benefit of local residents.
Infrastructure
Our aim is to make it easier to travel around the area by foot, bicycle, bus and car. To do this, we need to create new roads so that Village Centres are linked to each other and the nearby town centres.
