The Vision

How it works

The Regenerating North Solihull project works almost like a recycling system. Funding is generated through Solihull Council selling vacant land to Bellway Homes. The profit Bellway creates through the sale of these homes is then ploughed back into the project, providing the funding for new primary schools, Village Centres and improvements to infrastructure and green space.

The regeneration of North Solihull is underpinned by a wide range of networks, organisations and individuals, including residents, local businesses, education and health providers, government, community and voluntary groups, statutory bodies, and people working in the area.

The aim is to make sure that residents and businesses are better equipped for the change process, and can take advantage of new opportunities arising from the regeneration. Creating a better environment for local people is the cornerstone of the regeneration programme, and for it to be deemed a success, local people need to feel that they have a chance to carve out their future in North Solihull.
