Girton House is one of five tower blocks which have been earmarked for demolition in Smith's Wood as part of proposals to regenerate North Solihull. Demolition of Westfield House in North Solihull
Demolition work has just been completed on a disused high rise block, as part of the ongoing regeneration of North Solihull. The demolition of Westfield House in Smith's Wood, started on Monday 23rd July and took around eight weeks to complete.

Work has started to build a brand new £9m primary school in North Solihull. The new Bishop Wilson Church of England Primary School is being built in what will be the heart of a new village centre at Craig Croft, Chelmsley Wood.
