Chelmsley Wood residents are being encouraged by North Solihull Partnership to take part in a public vote to decide the name of their new village centre, at Craig Croft. Voting runs from 5 to 21 February ballot boxes and voting forms are available at a number of venues across the area.
Work is due to start on 28th January 2013 to prepare Girton House and Gonville House for demolition. DSM will be carrying out the demolition of these two blocks on behalf of the North Solihull Partnership.
Come along and see the proposed designs for a new Assisited Living Scheme which is being presented by The Home Group, who are delivering the scheme as part of the new Village Centre in Smith's Wood.
The woodland and lake area in Meriden Park has been formally designated as Chelmsely Wood Local Nature Reserve, bringing the total number of LNRs in the borough to 21. The designated was approved by Cabinet Members on 12th November and was formally declared on 3rd December under the provisions of the National Parks and Access to Countryside Act.

The North Solihull Partnership held a drop-in event on 12th November to discuss proposals for a residential development on Chapelhouse Road, Fordbridge. You can view the plans by clicking here. Feedback forms were available at the exhibition and everyones' views, comments and suggestions will be considered before finalising the development proposals for submission to Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council as a detailed planning application in December 2012.
